Somewhere Not Here

私はこの二十年ほどのあいだ、いくつかの国々を旅し、
異なる言語を話し、異なる大地に暮らす人々と出会ってきました。

土地が変われば、空気の質も、街の色も、匂いも異なります。
しかしファインダーを覗くと、そこに映るのは変わらない人間の姿でした。

働き、食べ、笑い、祈り、眠る。
誰かを想い、日々を紡ぐ。
その営みは場所や文化を越えて共通しており、
私たちを分け隔てる境界を静かに越えていきます。

本作は、土地の記憶とともに刻まれた「人間の普遍性」を見つめる旅の記録です。
異なる文化のあいだに潜む共鳴を写真というかたちで捉え、
そこに浮かび上がるのは「遠い誰か」ではなく、もう一人の「私たち」です。

For nearly two decades, I have traveled across various countries,
meeting people who speak different languages and live upon different lands.

Each place has its own air, its own color, its own scent.
Yet through the viewfinder, what I see are people not so different from myself.

They work, eat, laugh, pray, and sleep.
They love, they hope, they live.
These simple acts transcend geography and culture,
quietly crossing the invisible boundaries that seem to divide us.

This series is a visual reflection on the universality of humanity,
interwoven with the memory of each land I have encountered.
Through photography, I seek to capture fleeting moments of resonance—
when the “others” before me reveal themselves as another version of “us.”
